Super Junior to release 4th album on May 13

SM Entertainment has announced that Korean boy band Super Junior will release their new and fourth album on May 13.

The agency added that only 10 of the 13 members have participated in the new album.

Promotional photos for the album have been released, showing Super Junior sporting a new image.

“Finally, the long wait is over, and only days to wait and counting down. I'm so deeply excited with this,” one wrote on www.SJ-world.net, the international forum for Super Junior fans.

Fans are saddened by the SME’s announcement that Kangin, who figured in a drunk-driving case last year, has decided to enlist in the army and is not part of the album along with Kibum and Hangeng.

According to a Korean news website, Kangin will be enlisting in the Korean army in October, although this has not been confirmed by SME. All Korean males are required to serve the army for two years.

“I was wondering what was going to happen with Kangin (but) I'm not really that shocked by his decision. I really hope everything works out well for him and he finds some peace,” another fan commented on the SJ fan forum.

On the other hand, Kibum and Hangeng are pursuing solo activities.

Kibum will concentrate further on his acting career, which has kept him out of Super Junior activities since last year when the boy band released its “Sorry Sorry” album. He was last seen in the movie “Joomoonjin,” released last January, where he played a ghost.

Hangeng, the only Chinese member of Super Junior, is not part of the album since he filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment to terminate his contract with the agency. The case is still pending with a Seoul court. He’s been doing solo activities this year.

On May 11, Hangeng will be performing in the Mainland China Music Award Festival.
