What Will HyunJoong’s Choice Be?

SS501’s leader Kim HyunJoong’s contract with his current company, DSP Entertainment, is coming to an end on June 8th of this year. Rumors continue to swirl around him as speculators discuss what his next move will be. Needless to say, HyunJoong’s every move at this time is being watched with keen interest.

Many of the rumors arising at this time are saying that HyunJoong may be joining the same agency as DBSK’s Kim JaeJoong. DBSK’s Kim Junsu and Park YooChun are also at the same agency.

HyunJoong and JaeJoong are publicly known to be very good friends. There have been various instances where they were spotted hanging out together. The two have even taken a trip together to Vancouver, Canada this past January. It is also said that two are currently living together. It makes sense that they would like to work for the same entertainment company as well.

There are other rumors that claim that HyunJoong will stop singing altogether and focus only on his acting. HyunJoong’s acting career and popularity received a major boost with his role as Yoon JiHoo/Sunbae in KBS2’s drama Boys Before Flowers. He rose to fame in countries such as China, Japan, as well as other Asian countries with this role. While this boost is popularity gives HyunJoong an incentive to pursue acting, it also gives other agencies incentive to pursue HyunJoong. Many agencies are said to be trying to get their hands on HyungJoong, offering him large sums of money as the contract down-payment.

Other rumors contradict both of these rumors completely and say that HyunJoong will renew his contract with DSP or join another agency and continue to be a part of SS501. DSP claims that all 5 members of SS501 have made a verbal agreement with the company saying that they will renew their contracts. DSP also is says that they are negotiating with HyunJoong at the moment, and they will fully support him if he chooses to pursue an acting career while staying with SS501.

HyunJoong’s next choice is gathering a large amount of interest not only from fans but from the entertainment industry as well. There is a possibility that HyunJoong will switch agencies, pursue acting, and also continue to be a part of SS501. The famous idol group Shinhwahas their members belonging to different agencies but they continue to promote as a group. The same goes for idol group g.o.d.
