‘Avatar’ Team to Film 3D MVs of BoA, SNSD, DBSK and Others

We have seen SM Entertainment artists in television and music videos in normal form. Now, how about seeing BoA, SNSD, DBSK and others in 3D videos? Exciting, right?

The producers of the movie Avatar will be making 3D video contents for artists of SM Entertainment (SME).

On May 14th at 11 am, producer Lee SooMan of SME, the producer of the movie Avatar,James Cameron, and president of Samsung Electronics Video Display departmentYoon BuKeun held a press conference regarding the 3D cooperation.

In the project, the producers of Avatar will film the music videos and concerts of SME artists in 3D and the content will be used for the Samsung Electonics’ 3D TV marketing activities. Samsung Electronics will produce 3D blu-ray of SME artists’ MVs and concerts and will provide them to those who purchase Samsung 3D TV.

Last March, James Cameron and his Avatar team filmed the internationally known hip hop group Black Eyed Pea’s New York concert in 3D and created a buzz.

Meanwhile, at this event, BoA, DBSK members YunHo and ChangMin and others attended and adorned the event.

The combination of a 3D TV and a 3D blue-ray of SME artists is definitely a genius marketing strategy. Okay, who wants to buy a new TV now?
